Four Peaks Prize-giving

It was more than a prize-giving, it was a show. Winners and achievers in the Four Peaks Race 2026, along with their families and friends, cheered as trophies and prizes were presented to the crews, skippers and runners in this amazing event. One of a kind, the Four Peaks Race brings out the best in everyone, and the crowd that filled The Patio showed that 2026 was one to be remembered.

The evening started with a heartfelt welcome by Alex Johnston, the man responsible for the event’s logistics. The two sponsors then had their say and, after that, the prize-winners were called to the front  to receive their glittering plaques, shields, cups, trophies and bottles of fine wine. The audience of more than 80 spirited souls got louder and louder. Whoops and cheers for sailing legends and peak performers said it all. The ‘Four Peaks’ is one of the best, if not the very best, of its kind.

IRC division champion was Wild Card while Mark Thornburrow, helming his catamaran Bliss 2, blew PHS A away with an elapsed time of 20 hours, 20 minutes and 21 seconds. Not only that, his runners clocked five hours and 56 minutes for their Shore Selection Times – one of the fastest on record. PHS B was won by Rising Sun with Richard Bulgin of sponsor Direct-Sails in command!
